How Referral Rewards Work

When your referral creates a market, you earn 30% of Alpha.Navy’s commission.

Parameter Breakdown:

INIT_CREATOR_REFERRAL_FEE_RATE=0.3000 (30%)

• User Message: "Earn 30% of platform commissions from all trading on markets your referrals create"
• Real impact: When someone they refer creates a market, the referrer gets 30% × 25% = 7.5% of the host fee from total market volume
• Example: $1,000 market with 10% host fee → Referrer earns $7.50

INIT_BETTOR_REFERRAL_FEE_RATE=0.3000 (30%)

• User Message: "Earn 30% of platform commissions from bets your referrals place"
• Real impact: When someone they refer places a bet, the referrer gets 30% × 25% = 7.5% of the host fee from that bet
• Example: $100 bet with 10% host fee → Referrer earns $0.75

INIT_REFERRAL_EXPIRY_WINDOW=2592000 (30 days)

• User Message: "Claim your rewards within 30 days before they expire"
• Real impact: Creates urgency for users to regularly check and claim their earnings

pls note: users can claim the referral earnings (creator referral and the bettor referral earnings) using the claim button which is available for an expiry time of 30 days. We show various status like claimed, expiring soon, expired etc corresponding to the claimable earnings status.

Market Setup

• Host Fee: 10%
• Bet 1: $150
• Bet 2: $110
• Total Market Volume: $260

Bettor Referral Calculation (for $110 bet)

Formula:

X% × Host Fee % × 25% × Bet Amount

Calculation:

Bettor Referral = 0.30 × 0.10 × 0.25 × 110 = 0.30 × 0.10 × 27.5 = 0.30 × 2.75 = $0.825

Result: $0.83 (rounded)

Creator Referral Calculation (for total market volume)

Formula:

Y% × Host Fee % × 25% × Total Market Volume

Calculation:

Creator Referral = 0.30 × 0.10 × 0.25 × (150 + 110) = 0.30 × 0.10 × 0.25 × 260 = 0.30 × 0.10 × 65 = 0.30 × 6.5 = $1.95 Result: $1.95
