How to create your own prediction market on Alpha Navy

Alpha Navy lets you launch prediction markets for your community, friends, or audience. You earn fees from the pool in USDC or a token you choose to denominate your market in. The bigger the pool, the bigger your reward. Here’s how to get started:

1. Connect Your Wallet

  • Click Connect Wallet.
  • Choose a wallet you already use (MetaMask, Phantom, Coinbase Wallet, etc). If you don’t have one, follow the prompt to set one up.
  • Make sure your wallet holds some USDC (to seed or participate) and a small amount of network tokens for gas fees.

2. Create Your Market

  • Pick a category: Real Estate, Air Rights, Sports, Politics, Crypto, or select Other for anything you like (KPOP winners, celebrity retirements, you name it).

  • Define the outcomes: two simple options like Yes/No, or multiple outcomes if your market calls for it.
  • Add images or icons for each outcome to keep your market clear and engaging.

3. Set Market Timing

  • Choose the time zone you want to set the market in.
  • Choose the bet start time - this is when the multiplier starts.
  • Choose the bet end time.
  • Choose the results time (when results are finalized).
  • Remember:

  • Longer markets can build bigger pools and stronger community engagement.
  • Do not forget you will need to make sure the betting is set to end BEFORE the results are available.
  • You will need to resolve the market when it closes so your community can take their winnings and you can get you share of the pool fee.

4. Add Your Source of Truth

  • Every market needs a clear and trusted source for resolution.
  • Link to a reliable URL or authority (official results, news site, league table, etc).
  • This ensures participants trust your market and keeps outcomes transparent.

5. Configure Host Settings

  • Host fee: Your cut from the betting pool. Keep it fair (too high discourages participation).
  • Company host fee: 25%
  • Multiplier: Sets the potential payout for early bettors. Higher multipliers mean bigger possible wins for early participants, which helps drive hype.
  • Example: Bet 100 USDC at 10x multiplier = 1000 USDC payout if correct.
  • At 20x, that same bet could return 2000 USDC.

6. Seed Your Market

  • Seeding adds credibility and momentum.
  • By putting in some USDC, you show confidence in your market.
  • A bigger starting pool looks more attractive and helps kick things off.
  • If you do not generate interest in your market and receive no bets you will get your seed funds back.

7. Launch and Share

  • Confirm your settings through your wallet.
  • Your market goes live instantly.
  • Share the link across your social channels, group chats, or Discords to get participants involved.

8. Resolve and Earn

  • Once the market closes, finalize it using your declared source of truth - this needs to be done on time.
  • Once the market closes, please declare the results of the market based on the source you added. This needs to be done by the time you decided to declare during the creation of the market.
  • The pool pays out to winners automatically.

Your host fee is sent to you in USDC or the token you set.
